Emily Villani
M.A. (She/ Her)
Doctoral Associate
Hello! I am looking forward to meeting and working with you! I am a Ph.D. student in the School and Applied Child Psychology program at Western University, and I am very grateful to be part of the Mindful Kids Psychology and Wellness Centre team. My ultimate goal as a clinician is to create a safe and comfortable space where children and youth feel supported and understood. I enter the clinic with nonjudgemental warmth and compassion. I recognize and value individual differences, and it brings me such joy getting to know each child/teen I meet and learn about their passions and interests. I use strengths-based approaches to understanding all children and youth, and care deeply about providing neurodiversity-affirming care and inclusion.
In my academic education, I am committed to researching and advocating for best practices for neurodiversity inclusion in formal and informal learning environments.
Outside of practice, and on a more personal note, I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing board games with friends, and going to see theatre.
*Emily Villani is currently being supervised by Dr. Marina Heifetz for assessment work.
