Mariam is an Intake Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at Mindful Kids Psychology and Wellness Centre. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a certificate in Counselling and Mental Health from York University, and is passionate about how psychology helps people grow, understand themselves better, and live more meaningfully.

In her role, Mariam serves as the first point of contact for children and families. She guides them through the intake process, answering questions and helping them feel at ease before appointments, and welcomes them in when they arrive at the clinic. Drawing on her academic background and clinical experiences, she approaches every interaction with empathy and care, ensuring families feel heard and supported as they navigate the clinic’s services. 

Beyond these roles, Mariam enjoys being involved in the creative work the clinic, from creating helpful resources for children and families and volunteering in the clinic’s group programs, where she works directly with families in hands-on, interactive ways. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys watching shows, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.
