Clinical Associate
Hello! I am a Ph.D. student in the Clinical-Developmental Psychology program at York University, and I am excited to be part of the team at Mindful Kids Psychology & Wellness Centre. As a client-centered clinician, my focus is to provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to assist children and adolescents with processing their thoughts and feelings, building healthy coping strategies, and fostering resilience when they are facing challenges with “big” emotions, anxiety, depression, or emotion dysregulation. I deeply value using a neurodiverse-affirming and strengths-based approach to understand each client’s unique strengths. My aim is to maintain a safe environment where children and youth feel understood and supported, and to work together with parents and families to meet therapeutic goals.
I also have experience providing comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to children and youth with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, ADHD, and autism. My doctoral research will focus on better understanding the complexity and diversity of autism in girls and women who also have ADHD. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my cat, going to concerts, trying new foods, and playing video games!
